AMA Global SIG Doctoral Consortium

The 2025 AMA Global Marketing Special Interest Group (SIG) Doctoral Consortium invites Ph.D. students interested in international and cross-cultural marketing to participate in an enriching event designed to support their academic and professional development. The consortium will be held on May 23, 2025, at the Novotel Sydney on Darling Harbour, preceding the main AMA Global Marketing Conference in Sydney, Australia.
The event provides a platform for doctoral students to engage in in-depth discussions with distinguished faculty on key issues in (international) marketing research, including emerging trends, challenges in publishing high-impact research, managing dissertation work, and launching a successful academic career. Small-group sessions will allow participants to present their research, receive personalized feedback from leading scholars, and engage in discussions to refine their projects. The consortium will also feature panel discussions addressing vital topics in international marketing.
Ph.D. students at all stages of their programs are encouraged to apply. Applications should include a cover letter, a 5-page extended abstract of a marketing research project, and, optionally, a more complete paper by April 30, 2025, for additional feedback. The submission window opens on October 1, 2024, and closes on December 15, 2024. Accepted participants will be notified by January 31, 2025.
